'You are always one decision away
from a totally different life'
A bit of a different post for me today, but seeing as the wedding is fast approaching (under 5 months to go!) I thought it was about time I get my bum in gear and start preparing for the big day. So far this has involved looking after my skin and trying to nail my morning and night time skincare routine, and also starting to use a gradual tanning gel to give me a healthy, natural glow. But my main concern leading up to the big day is how I look in my dream dress...
Obviously lots of photos will be taken on the day, and myself and Jack personally much prefer the natural they-didn't-know-you-were-taking-the-photo look, so as you can imagine we're going to be photographed from all angles when we least expect it and I, like any other bride, want to be looking and feeling my absolute best! I am naturally petite which is great, but for a long time now I have wanted to tone up, gain some muscle and just have a much healthier lifestyle, not just for the wedding but for the rest of my life.
I've never been an absolute lover of exercise (man I wish I was!), and when I was younger I used to be able to do a few sit ups each night for around two weeks and then feel much better about myself straight away but, as we know, that doesn't happen when you reach your early twenties and you have to work a lot harder to achieve that toned tummy! With a new year and a fresh, positive mindset in tow it seemed the perfect time to get on board with a fitness plan to keep me on the straight and narrow.
Ever since Results with Lucy started, back in 2013, I have always wanted to try it out but I've always been too afraid to give it a proper go as I am usually terrible with sticking to things! However, this time around I thought I'd bite the bullet and really go for it! After all, 2017 marks a new chapter in my life and I want to feel fresh, awake, healthy and happy when I look in the mirror!
The 'New Beginnings' plan that I have signed up to starts in under a week on the 1st February, but if you haven't signed up yet and you're interested in joining me on this then there's still time to sign yourself up - you have until 31st January. Of course there are many plans you can choose from, but if you are looking to completely change your way of life and sign up to the full year plan there are three phases - New Beginnings, Wobble to Model, and HIIT Harder - all of which last three months, so nine months in total.
Not only does this plan involve fitness and exercise but it also includes a meal plan which actually comes with a shopping list so you can literally buy everything you need! There is also a private Facebook support page for everyone taking part in the Class of 2017 where you can share your progress or even talk to the community if you're feeling a little unmotivated. You can also get your hands on this awesome box full of goodies too! What more could you want to get you started on a new plan?!
I will be updating you with my progress, including pictures, how I'm feeling, and if I feel it's really working etc, so you can read about my journey and my honest opinions on RWL. I am so, so excited to get started and really throw myself into this plan and hopefully feel a lot healthier and more energised as the weeks go on! I will update you in a couple of weeks with before and after images so that you can see the progress for yourselves - just be aware that uploading photos like this to the internet terrifies me!!
So that's my little introduction to RWL, if you haven't signed up yet but like the sound of it all then head on over to the Results with Lucy website and sign yourself up! Let's do this together!
