'Hey, this is me...'
I feel like seeing as a new year has come around, and I started blogging again late last year (after numerous attempts), it was about time that I reintroduced myself and gave you a little update on my life.
So hey, my name is Kirsti and believe it or not I actually started blogging at the tail end of 2010, so 6 years ago! I often wonder where I would be now with my blog if I had kept it up continuously, but at the same time I'm not one to dwell on what could have been.
I was born and raised in Southampton and moved to Salisbury with my fiancé in March last year for his work. I must say, the whole 'moving away from my hometown' thing was pretty scary, and certainly cranked up my anxiety a few notches, but since being here there has been no regrets. We love living here so I wouldn't change a thing! We currently rent our three story house with our two cute, but crazy, house cats who will be turning three this year. The reason they are house cats is because we lived in a flat on the third floor before so they are used to living inside, but come the summer we have them in the garden with us (keeping a close eye on them, of course!).
I studied Fashion & Textile Design at Winchester School of Art and graduated in 2013 which, thinking about it, is actually really scary to think that I have been out of education for three and a half years! I've always dreamt of having my own little boutique selling either womenswear or children's clothing, which I have attempted a few times over the years but I tend to be too hard on myself and always tell myself that it will never happen. I would still love to run my own little business one day, so I'm working on my self-confidence. I actually started a little baby/children's clothing and accessories website late last year and very much intend on starting it up again this year. After all, I turn 26 this year and I want to make sure that I follow my dreams and have my dream career by the time I'm 30.
This year will see myself and Jack get married! In five months, in fact (time to start panicking!). We've been together eight and a half years and on the day we get married it will be our nine year anniversary! Oh how time flies! I'm thinking of writing up some wedding-related blog posts in the lead up to our wedding, like tips and things I've learnt since being engaged etc, so if that is something you would like to see then please let me know!
Apart from all of that, I am a lover of fashion, beauty, photography, stationary, interior design and anything with a good quote! I like my blog to portray exactly who I am through my style and the subjects I choose to talk about. I love to read blogs not just to see the person's amazing style, but also to hear what they have to say on certain matters, blogs that have a deeper meaning then just the outfit they are wearing. I'd like to think that my little blog would fall into that category so, of course, I'm going to blog about what I personally would love to read.
So I guess that's me in a nutshell! I hope you've enjoyed hearing a little more about me (if you've managed to get this far!). Here's to 2017! I hope you all have an awesome year and make plenty of amazing memories to look back on!
