5 things I am thankful for.

Recently I've been feeling pretty happy in life, and to be honest it's been since writing this post about my anxiety. Sometimes just writing things down, and even sharing them with people, really helps. So it got me thinking about the things I am thankful for in my life right now. Obviously there are more than 5 things I am thankful for, but I thought I would share with you just a small fraction.

1. My number one thing that I am thankful for right now is that I am able to work part-time. As you may know I was made redundant at the end of February and after a surprisingly short discussion about my next career move with Jack, we decided it would be best that I went part-time so that I could focus on building up my own business. Obviously things like this take time, and it's not easy when your confidence has been knocked, but I am so thankful that I am in a position where I can focus on what I love doing, as not a lot of people get that chance. So although it may seem like I'm not doing anything towards by future business yet, I am, it just takes time.

2. Second on my list branches from number one, and that is that I am getting motivated again. It's been a long time since I was passionate about anything, especially in the way of my career, but I am so glad that I am finally feeling driven again - even if it's just about my blog, doing the housework, getting organised, it all helps towards being happier and more comfortable in your day-to-day life, and eventually achieving long term career goals.

3. Number three - planning my dream wedding! I am extremely thankful that I am marrying my love, my best friend, my partner in crime. We have been engaged for almost a year now, but we have finally set a date and booked our big day! It is all so exciting, and despite the fact I know I will get stressed out in the process (there is SO much to think about, you would not believe!) I plan on enjoying every minute of it - after all, I only plan on doing it once!

4. Number four is that, overall, I am in a much better place than I was a month ago. I have taken a breathe and taken each day as it comes which has really helped me. I will still have up and down days, but I feel further ahead than I thought I would in a short amount of time. It's important to give yourself a break sometimes and just remember, you're only human.

5. Lastly, number five is that I am thankful for every single person in my life right now. I have learned not to take any friendships for granted and to spend as much time seeing my family as I possibly can, because life is way too short. You should always have time for family and friends, even if it's a Skype call!

I urge everyone to take a moment every now and then to think about what you are thankful for in life and appreciate the smaller things. If you like, comment below five things that you are thankful for, I'd love to know!
