So 70's

Blouse & Bag: Vintage  //  Denim Dress: Topshop  //  Socks & Socks: Primark

Hey sweets, how are you all this evening? Today's outfit is completely 70's inspired, if you hadn't guessed already! As you may have seen in my latest haul video I bought this denim dungaree dress from Topshop a couple of weeks ago and I am in love! I have so many outfits planned for this dress so I cannot wait to post it some more!

But anyway, seeing as it's quite 70's inspired I wanted to create an outfit based around that and I recently came across this amazing, loud, floral shirt when clearing out our old house, and found that it was actually my Grandma's, how amazing is that?! I instantly knew I had to pair it with this denim dress and my trusty brown platforms, which I bought from Primark forever ago. Finished with a pair of trusty white lace socks and 70's style vintage bag and my look was complete!

It might seem a bit late now but I may even film this look for my YouTube channel as I love it so much! It's loud and it's out there and I just don't care! Sometimes the out-of-the-ordinary can be a great outfit to rock, what do you think?

5 Tips for Charity Shopping

Hello lovelies, today's post is a bit of a different one but I really enjoyed filming it. I really hope these 5 tips help some of you out as I always use these when going charity shopping. Let me know in the comments what you think of this type of video/blog post :)

1.      Rummage
Don’t be afraid to look at every single item in the shop, you may not see a good piece when you first walk in so just remember to take your time and look at everything. You may just find a hidden gem!

2.      Don’t just look at the clothes
Be sure to look at the shoes, bags, ornaments and jewellery aswell. I once got an amazing vintage suitcase (seen above) for just £2.99! It's probably one of my most favourite buys from charity shopping. It's amazing what you can find when you take the time to look!

3.      Try before you buy
You never know what an item is going to look like until you try it on – it’s different from high-street shopping so always try before buying. This will also benefit you if you like something but aren't sure whether it will suit you. Most charity shops will have atleast one changing room so don't be afraid to ask if you can try it on.

4.      Make sure you can create atleast 3 outfits with what you’re about to buy
There’s nothing worse than getting home and realising what you have bought doesn’t go with anything in your wardrobe, thus ending up back in the charity shop! Of course buying these items is for an extremely good cause but you don't want to end up giving it back to charity because it didn't match your style.

5.      Try different areas
Be sure to try different areas with loads of charity shops, I find in Southampton, where I live, they aren’t very good but in Fareham and Cosham they are amazing so don’t be put off if you don’t find much on your first try. It's always great if you in a new town and find some charity shops to pop into aswell. You may not find anything but on the flip side you may find your new favourite charity shop with everything in it! Another good place to look if you're local to Hampshire is Farnham and Aldershot.

So they are my 5 top tips when going charity shopping! I also filmed a video on this too so please take a look as I go into a bit more detail. I hope you liked this post, it's something a little different but I thought it may be of interest to some of you :)

Central Perk

Blazer: New Look  //  T-shirt: Primark  //  Jeans: Topshop (Joni Jeans)  //  Shoes: Primark

Hey sweets, I have been loving Pinterest, as usual, and pinning like crazy into my 'S T Y L E' board. Recently I have been lusting over the more 'smart casual' look; think ripped jeans with a t-shirt, blazer and heels. I'm not sure if it's a part of getting older that I'm enjoying the more 'adult' look but I just love how effortless it looks alongside being a really comfortable.

I decided to give this look a go and really love how it turned out. It was the perfect outfit for a Saturday, running out to do the weekly food shop and catching up on blogging and Orphan Black (if any of you watch this comment below - hello new TV addiction!). The blazer I have had for a while now - I love the sheer sleeves as it adds a bit of edge to any outfit and paired with my new Central Perk t-shirt I bought from Primark a couple of weeks ago it's the perfect match. My favourite pair of Joni jeans from Topshop always make there way into any outfit and of course it wouldn't be complete without my cute new shoes from Primark which were a bargain at just £10!

It's safe to say Pinterest is the perfect place to find outfit inspiration so if you haven't tried it already then where the hell have you been?!

Soccer Mom

Shirt: New Look  //  Jeans: Topshop (Joni)  //  Shoes: F&F Clothing

Hey lovelies! I feel a bit like a soccer mom in this outfit, hence the title, I think it's the pigtails but I quite like it. I bought this shirt recently from New Look, you may have seen it in my latest YouTube haul I uploaded earlier today. It's so comfortable and wearable as it's a loose fit so great for hectic days and also for lazy Sunday's too. I paired the shirt with my trusty Joni jeans from Topshop and new lace-up shoes from Tesco for a casual by stylish look. I can already see myself pairing this shirt with so many other pieces in my wardrobe so expect to see more of it!

Scrapbooking // prt 2

Hello lovelies! This is something I have been meaning to show you for ages and I finally found the time to do it. I have been loving scrapbooking recently and thought I would create a whole separate scrapbook for mine and Jack's trip to Paris, getting engaged and the stages after this such as the engagement party we have coming up and wedding planning etc. There's not much else to say so I'll let the photos do the talking :) I hope you enjoy what I've done so far!

The Denim Jacket

Hey loves, I had this idea recently to do something slightly different on my YouTube channel and that is to produce short videos every now and then based on one piece of clothing/accessory which is a staple in my wardrobe. I plan on doing a video soon based on my wardrobe essentials but these videos will just be snippets of me wearing them and the best part is that I won't be talking, it'll be all about the item!

This type of video won't be to everyone's taste and probably won't get many views but it's something that I enjoy doing and something that I would enjoy watching so I'm going to do it! The videos won't be quite how I want them to look just yet but that just takes practice along with my channel as a whole and this blog too!

This week's staple piece is my trusty denim jacket. I have been non-stop wearing this jacket recently which was given to me by Jack's Mum, and those are two things I never thought I'd say! Haha! I just find the slightly over-sized look is great (as we all know, I love an over-sized jacket!) and it just goes with everything!

Check out the short video below if you are interested and let me know what you think. Like I said before, these kind of videos I will be producing every few weeks :)

3 Piece Twist Ponytail

Hey lovelies, today's post is a quick and easy hair tutorial! As you may know I am absolutely obsessed with Pinterest and have recently been finding myself searching for different hairstyles. Having long thick hair it can get quite boring just having in down or in a ponytail so I thought I'd experiment a bit more and that is when I came across this 3 piece twist ponytail. It looks quite complicated but it's actually really quick and easy to do!

If you want to see how I created this hairstyle then watch my latest video below and all will be revealed!
