How To: Store your jewellery

Hello my lovelies,

I was tidying up my dressing table the other day and thought I would just share with you a way which I store my jewellery. I actually got this idea from Zoella as I saw in one of her videos (somewhere down the line, I'm pretty sure I've watched them all...) that she had used plates to store some bits and bobs including jewellery. I bought some vintage plates from various charity shops for a project that I did in college a long time ago and I still had some left over so I decided to use them to store my earrings on. I have layered up the plates too to create a little stack with my jewellery on top which I really like. I love how it shows a little snippet of each plate, the colour and the patterns and also the shapes of the plates too as they have different edging.

I have also used little floral ceramic bowls which once had candles in, bought from Ikea. When I eventually finished the candles I wanted to use the pots for something but I wasn't too sure what until I cleaned them up and popped them on my dresser and realised they went really well with my plates. I have collar clips, rings and brooches in these bowls to keep them all together.

This is something I have done for a couple of years now so I sort of see it as the norm but it wasn't until the other day that I thought it's a nice, different way to store your jewellery and I wanted to share that with you and possibly inspire you? I hope you like this idea, or if you do this too then comment below I would love to know who else does this :)

Speak to you soon lovelies,
