116. You can have my past, I'll never get that back.

Necklace: New Look  //  Tartan Top: DIY (Self Made)  //  Pleather Skirt: Can't remember :/  //  Boots: New Look

Hey loves,

You can all slap me for being absent from my blog, again! I know I always say it but life is just so busy at the moment, things are changing and there is a lot of stress in the air right now which isn't great so I'm having a bit of a hard time at the moment, but that is no excuse to leave my blog unmanned! I just need to get my organisational skills back it would seem!

So what better way to get back into the swing of things than with an outfit post, featuring a tartan top that I made myself may I add ;) I really wanted to feature this top today as I am working on launching my own label and therefore my own online shop where I will be selling items like this one and lots, lots more! I have a Facebook page for my blog, if you didn't know, and all updates of my blog and the launch of my shop will be on there if you are interested. I am so close to reaching 200 likes so I would love to smash that by the end of tonight if possible, so please support me by clicking here and 'liking' my page, please & thanks :)

Anyway, I paired my little tartan number with my pleated pleather skirt which I cannot for the life of me remember where it is from so I am sorry about that! I thought the skirt worked well with the top giving the outfit a grungy feel which I am quite liking this season. I added my chunky gold chain necklace for more edge and pointed wedge boots to finish and I really like the outcome. I usually always tuck my tops into my skirts or shorts because I feel too frumpy if I don't, but because this top is quite cropped I think I can get away with leaving it un-tucked. What do you think? Would you be interested in buying clothing like this?

Speak to you TOMORROW, I promise!

Home haul, life update & other news...

Hello my lovelies,
I finally uploaded another You Tube video! Blimey it feels like it has been quite a while since I last did a You Tube video so today I thought I would do one showing a few bits and bobs that me and my boyfriend have bought for our house when we eventually move out! I also include some news at the end of the video and a huge thank you to my 303 subscribers!! I am super chuffed so thank you if you are one of them!
So as I said, 'when me and my boyfriend eventually move out', eventually being the word! We have been planning to move out for as long as I can remember, even years before Jack moved in with me and my Dad 7 months ago. It has always been on the agenda but university and money have always gotten in the way, and yet again, money is getting in the way! Ohh the struggles of trying to save every little penny you have so that you can move out and start your adult life properly, especially when you have bills to pay and a car to run. That is one of the reasons we have been buying so much so that we actually have money when we move out and the household items too and it has been so fun buying everything, but now we are onto the boring saving stage haha But it is exciting thinking about what our house will look like and how we will decorate etc and we're not the only ones in this boat in our group of friends, our closest friends are all saving for mortgages too. It's tough but it will be so worth it when we all get our dream homes :)
Anyway, here are a few of the things we have bought that I have posted on my Instagram over the last year...

Are any of you in the same situation? Have you got any tips for saving money? I'd love to know :)

115. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Blouse: New Look (Old)  //  *Dungaree Playsuit: Karma Clothing  //  Boots: New Look

Hello lovelies,

I was recently contacted by a company I am sure you have all heard of, Karma Clothing. If you haven't heard of them, Karma Clothing are an online fashion brand selling clothing and accessories, from dresses to leotards to footwear and jewellery, they've got it all! They asked if I would like to work with them and I jumped at the chance after seeing a few bloggers had worked with them before and I really liked the items they had been sent.

Being a huge fan of tartan it was inevitable that I would choose this gorgeous tartan dungaree playsuit, and I am so glad I did because I am in love! The delivery was super quick from Karma Clothing, which is always a plus, and the fit of the playsuit is perfect, very true to size. I love the pinafore style of the dungarees at the back so that you can see more of what you are wearing underneath as well as the amazing tartan print, and it's a bonus that it has pockets as I usually find that playsuits don't have pockets.

Today I layered it up with my mustard blouse with it's over-sized peter pan collar draping over the shoulder straps for a bright and fun outfit. However I found when styling the dungarees that you can pretty much layer it with anything thanks to the range of colours within the tartan print. I have plenty of plain blouses I will be able to pair with this playsuit and not to mention a plain white or black tee underneath would also look good for a more casual look. All in all I think it is safe to say that I have a new favourite piece in my wardrobe this season and I can't wait to style it again for another outfit post.

If you have't already, check out Karma Clothing's website as they have so much range to offer, and if you are interested in this playsuit you can find it here. What do you think? Are you a fan of the tartan?

Travelling the world in a foreign land.

Hello lovelies,

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by a company called My Bag who had previously worked with Stephanie Dreams, asking her to review one of their bags. I remember it was a little while ago now and, as I am a fan of Stephanie Dreams, I saw the post she did and commented about how I really loved the bag and I remember I especially loved the burgundy/red colour (I can never resist a bit of burgundy!). Anyway, My Bag saw my comment and kindly offered to send me a tan version of the bag to review. I have to say I was a little apprehensive at first as I don't actually own anything tan coloured, but I thought I would go for it and try something a bit different.

The mi-pac bag was delivered very quickly and, ironically, it came the day before I was going on holiday, which was very handy as I needed a bag for my hand luggage for the plane, so I was happy before I had even seen the bag! It is safe to say I instantly loved the bag when I saw it, despite not usually opting for tan bags or even shoes or anything to be honest!

I took the bag on holiday with me using it to store all the essentials when flying and travelling abroad. The bag is really spacious and roomy, even though I filled it with food, drink, my kindle etc, I still had lots of room and even managed to store my quilted coat in there at one point too! Inside the bag is the main compartment and an iPad/Laptop sleeve with padding to protect. I did not use this for my iPad nor my laptop as I didn't take them on holiday however I found it really useful to store my passport and flight ticket as the pocket has an elasticated edge along the top so that nothing will slip out. The little pocket at the front is a good size too and was great for storing my disposable camera for when I wanted to get snap-happy ;)

I also used the bag throughout my holiday, packing my sun cream and towel ready to hit the pool or beach for a relaxing day in the sun (holiday blues much?!). I felt much safer heading out with a rucksack rather than an open beach bag as I knew that no one could see inside my bag and quickly grab anything when I wasn't looking so I'm sure I will use this on future holidays too. I was also suprised to find that it actually went with every outfit! I didn't realise tan was pretty versatile so I feel more welcoming towards the colour now haha!

One last point I must make is that my boyfriend was also a fan of the bag which is great as we can both get use out of it being a unisex colour and not too fussy with a print. He also liked a few bags shown in the little booklet that came with the bag too, as was I. If I were to buy one in the future, which I am considering after testing out the bag, it would be the Rose Tapestry bag as anyone who knows me knows I can't resist a bit of tapestry print!

Overall I have nothing but positive feedback on this bag! It was perfect for travelling, really spacious to cram a lot of stuff in, it somehow worked with every outfit I wore during the day and the delivery was very quick! If you like the look of this bag you should definitely check out the other designs, it could well be the perfect gift for someone for Christmas, or even something for you to add to your Christmas wish list. Unfortunately they don't have the tan version online but you can find all of the other designs here, and while you're there take a look at the whole website over at mybag.com and take a look at the various bags, they have some truly gorgeous styles which I am now lusting over. They even have my dream Chanel bag...ahh, does anyone have a spare £1700?? It's on offer?...No??...I'll just keep dreaming.

114. Eskimo your nose real close to mine

Hat: New Look  //  Top: Kings of Leon Tee  //  Cardigan: Vintage  //  Skirt: Self Made  //  Boots: New Look

Evening sweets,

I wasn't planning on doing an outfit post today until I remembered I hadn't been able to wear my fur hat yet, having been on holiday, so I thought I would try to work my outfit around my hat for a wee little post. I opted for comfortable clothing today to match the cosey-ness of the hat, so a skater skirt and simple tee tucked in was ideal. This hat is so great for when you're having a bad hair day because it literally covers your whole head, perfect for covering up the bed head that lies beneath! And I also think you can't really go wrong with a fur hat during the winter months, I especially can't wait to wear it if we get some snow!!

My friend, Charlotte, came around today and we attempted to bake some macaroons, 'attempt' being the operative word! I think we found a pretty rubbish recipe to follow if I'm honest so no doubt we'll try it again soon, we are determined to crack it! Have any of you tried baking macaroons before? If so have you got any tips? :)

Stress-free living

Hello my loves,

I am back on the scene as I got back from sunny Tunisia yesterday! It was so lovely to get away for a while with my boyfriend and just do absolutely nothing! Usually we would venture out and do some activities and see the sights etc, but seeing as we've both been a little stressed out with work etc we decided that doing nothing would be the perfect way to de-stress and relax to the max! Not to mention that you can tend to get a little ripped off in Tunisia and you have to be very careful, so avoid more stress we stayed in the resort and that was fine for us, just what we needed! So I thought I would share some images of our time away; I'm happy to be home but missing the sun already!!

Life Update

Hello my loves,

Sorry it has been a little while, this week has been majorly busy with work, seeing friends, pumpkin carving (!!) and preparing for mine and my boyfriend's holiday on Sunday. I thought I would just let you guys know I will be away for just over a week but will be returning to my blog around the 12th of November to fill you in on my holiday!

Tomorrow I am off to Bristol to see my brother and future sister-in-law (exciting wedding coming next year!!) and they are having a Halloween party!! It's pretty hard to believe that they have lived there almost a year and we are only just visiting, due to uni, and now full-time work getting in the way! Then, at around 2:00am, m and Jack (my boyfriend, it's just easier to say his name, haha) will be heading off to the airport, checking in and then waiting for our flight to Tunisia! We are slightly concerned about the suicide bombing that happened on Wednesday in Tunisia as it is only an hour away  from where we are staying, but fingers crossed everything will be ok. We are so excited to get away and relax as we have both had a pretty stressful few months but we're hoping that a little sun, sea, sand and spa (yes, that's right, our hotel has a spa!!) will sort us out and leave us feeling refreshed and stress-free!

So, I will be back in just over a week!
Speak soon,
