119. A Crisp December Morning

Blazer: Charity Shop  //  Shirt: Cameo Rose  //  Jumper: Zara  //  Shorts: New Look (Old)  //  Boots: New Look

Hello lovelies,

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Mine was pretty short lived due to heading back to work on boxing day, but it was a lovely day all the same and it was so nice to see all of my family :)

It's been a while since I did an outfit post or blogged regularly due to being pretty busy with work and doing a lot of night shifts, but as of the new year my shifts will be changing slightly and I have a new job title in store so I will have more time during the days to blog and get things done. I'm really looking forward to 2014, I feel like this past year has been a very stressful and tiring year and I'm ready for a fresh start. Are you excited for the new year?

Anyway, onto today's outfit. I bought this jumper from Zara when I went shopping with my Mum earlier in the week. I found it in the sale and snapped it up pretty quickly! I thought I would wear it today with a little collar poking out of the top (a style I will never get bored of) and tucked into a pair of shorts. I finished with my pointed wedge boots and this houndstooth blazer I bought in a charity shop earlier in the year, and to be honest I actually forgot about it until today! I rolled up the sleeves slightly and much prefer it this way so I'm looking forward to getting more use out of it next year. Lastly, this pretty little leaf broach was a Christmas gift from my boyfriend's Mum and I thought it worked perfectly with this blazer. I love vintage broaches so this is the perfect addition to my ever growing collection.

I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas and stuffed yourselves silly with Christmas dinners and chocolate! I have a little video coming up tomorrow on what I got for Christmas and what I bought in the sales (including this jumper!) so keep a look out for that :)

YouTube - My boyfriend does my make up

Hey strangers!

Crickey, it has been such a long time!! I won't go into detail on this post but I might write up another post explaining what has been going on lately. Seeing as this is a fashion and lifestyle blog it's only right I fill you in on my life (as much as I care to share, of course!).

So...me and my boyfriend decided to film the ultimate beauty challenge on YouTube, 'My boyfriend does my make up'! We had such a laugh filming this and I'm hoping you guys like it too as we have a few other videos planned for him to feature in. If you have any suggestions let me know in the comments :) I put the video on my Facebook as well and to be honest I was a bit weary about what people would think at first, but my friends and family loved it and found it really funny which was actually really lovely and gave me the confidence to share on there more videos that I do.

I hope you all like this video, please give a thumbs up and subscribe, I've almost hit 360 subscribers!! I wonder if I can make it to 400 by the new year....hmm...spread the word!! :D

DIY | Christmas themed bunting

Hey loves,

I was feeling Christmassy and creative the other day and wanted to make some Christmas bunting for mine and Jack's room, so I went to The Range on the hunt for some Christmas paper. I came across an amazing pack of square card, all Christmas themed, and it was on offer so I couldn't go wrong really! I made the bunting today as I had a day off work and thought I would do a little step-by-step DIY for you incase you want to give it a go yourself.

So, you will need:

Step 1: First of all you need to mark the center point of one side of your paper. My paper measures 24cm x 24cm so my center point is at 12cm. Mark this point with your pencil, a small line or dot will do :)

Step 2: Next up you need to grab your ruler and draw a line from the mark you just made to each opposing corner of the paper. Once you have drawn your lines to each corner, cut along the lines and you will be left with a triangle shape.

Step 3: After cutting away your excess paper you will need to mark your two top corners of your triangle with a little dot, enough so that you can make a hole in each corner. Once you have done that, take your hole punch and make a hole in both corners where you marked your paper. Do steps 1 to 3 with however many triangles you wish to produce for your bunting. I made 20 triangles for my bunting but you can use more or less depending on the length of your room or space you wish to fill.

Step 4: Now is the exciting part! Line up your triangles and place them in which order you would like them to hang. Once you are happy you can start threading your triangles onto the ribbon, weaving in and out of the holes you created in step 3.

Step 5: You are done! All you need to do now is hang it up and admire your handy work ;)

I hope you liked this little DIY post, I have a few more up my sleeve if you're interested? Let me know if you enjoyed this or if you made any yourself, I would love to know! :)

118. Space man, I always wanted you to go

Everything New Look --> Blouse  //  Disco Pants  //  Boots

Hello lovelies,

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I ended up popping into town with my boyfriend and his brother for a Wagamamas and a browse around the German Market, although I forgot my camera so I'm hoping to pop back and take lots of pictures to share with you :)

Anyway, I bought these items from New Look last weekend (and a few more items, YouTube Haul anyone??) and I really like them together. I spotted these disco pants last week and it was love at first sight! I love that they are a deep grey/silver/blue colour and they sort of look like something out of space...(just me?). I love this combo together as it's simple, minimal yet still stylish and on trend. I can tell I am going to get a lot of wear out of both of these items so expect to see them featured a lot! I've already worn the shirt in my last 'ootd' and a YouTube video...oops!

I hope you've all had a good week and enjoy your weeked! Oh, and I found out today that I have changed positions in work again to something more suited to me, which is exciting! More on that in future posts :)

Bye for now,

P.S - My friend, Roxanne, also has a blog and she is holding a Christmas giveaway where you could win some lovely winter warmers!! Well worth a look, so click here to enter, good luck!

Christmas Wrapping Inspiration

Hello my loves,

So as we are now on the count down to Christmas I thought I would share with you some images I have been pinning to my Christmas board on Pinterest recently. I love being creative and getting inspiration from various sources and Pinterest is a great way to store them all for when you want to go back to them. I have been collecting Christmas wrapping ideas for a while now and I am excited to put it all to good use and wrap all the presents I have bought this year!

Below are some images that have inspired me and then next week I have a little DIY to show you :) Enjoy!

I hope this has inspired you in any way? I know these kind of posts rarely get many views on my blog but I like to change it up a bit rather than just post outfit photos. Let me know what you think :)

Oh, and lastly before I go, I have a Facebook Page for my blog and online shop coming soon, I would love it if you could head over and 'like' :) Click here to take a look.

Cosy night in.

Hello lovelies,

Only a small post today as I had a bit of a hectic night last night ending up in casualty with my boyfriend. Everything is fine now though so nothing too major to worry about but we both had a very long, restless night. So tonight we are having a cosy night in with our Christmas candles lit and our knit and fleece blanket out, snuggling up on the sofa watching films. What a perfect Monday night to have :)

I hope you all had a good weekend!

117. Autumnal

Everything: New Look

Hello my loves,

I have been very busy getting organised today preparing blog posts and YouTube videos so that (fingers crossed) I will be able to stay on top of things from now on!

This is an outfit I wore to work yesterday, hence everything being from New Look. I bought this shirt/blouse on Friday as I have had my eye on it for a while. I think a plain white shirt or blouse is an essential in any wardrobe as it is perfect for wearing underneath jumpers and playsuits or dresses to layer up in the winter, and of course to wear on its own with a pair of jeans which is what I opted for yesterday. I wanted to be comfortable yesterday as I knew work would be busy so the shirt was great as it is floaty and quite baggy so I didn't get too hot. I finished the look with a chunky necklace just to add a bit of detail rather than the look being too boring, this is something I have been doing a lot lately as you may have noticed!

As far as my blog is concerned, like I said above I have many posts planned and a timetable to stick too!! It is so hard blogging and working full-time but I am determined to not let my blog suffer because of it! So expect a blog post from me each day this week and we'll go from there :)

I hope you're all well!
